  Advertise - Graphic Standards

We have taken a unique angle on the creation of our advertising. If it is consistent and attractive as a whole, and provides a real value to the consumer, then consumers will use it and keep it around, which in turn results in a higher response rate per advertising dollar. We strive to maintain the most attractive, consistent advertising mailer in the market.

Below is the graphic guidelines to advertising with The Community Savings Card. The advertiser is responsible for providing a Photo and Logo if one is to be used. If these are not available, please indicate that you would like us to provide a Stock Photo, and indicate what Color and Font you would like your name to be written in. Font Options are shown below.

Graphic Standards

1. Logo - It is important that your company branding be portrayed correctly, thus the logo needs to be provided via email to production@CommunitySavingsCard.net in a digital format at as high quality as possible. If it is not available, either scan a business card, or brochure, take it from their website, take a good photo of their signage, or tell us how to get hold of it. If no logo is provided then we will type in the name of the company, but we have seen that businesses with an accurate,colorful and recognizable logo will receive a better response than those without.

Logos will be printed at the following specifications:
300dpi, full color (CMYK), at up to 2 1/4" wide and up to 2" tall on a white background.
Accepted File Types are (in order of preference): AI, FH, EPS, PSD, TIFF, PNG, GIF, or JPEG
Please submit as close to these specifications as possible.

If you do not have a logo available then you may choose to have the name of your company written in one of the following fonts in the color of your choice. Other fonts may be available upon request.

2. Photo - Again, it is preferred that a professional quality image be provided by the advertiser. Images need to sum up the company's services, be powerful, colorful and persuasive. Photos MUST BE HIGH QUALITY, which means that we simply cannot print most web images. Images should be delivered to by email to production@CommunitySavingsCard.net. If the advertiser has nothing available, then please give us some clue as to what kind of stock image to look for.

Images will be printed at the following specifications:
300dpi, full color (CMYK), at approximately 3" wide and 2.25" high.
Some space around the edges will be cut off because of the bleed space required.
Accepted File Types are (in order of preference): PSD, TIFF, EPS, PNG, GIF, or JPEG
Please submit as close to these specifications as possible.

Examples of Good images include close ups of food or products, or something creative thatrepresents the company's industry (such as an attractive smile for a dentist's ad).

Examples of Bad images include a picture of the owner or the outside of their building (in most instances.)

3. Name - The Proper name of the company goes here. This is important since some company logos are not very legible or do not say the name of the business.

4. Website - If you have a company or corporate website that you would like to include, it may be located directly under the name.

5. Locations - Up to four locations and phone numbers can be included in this space. Thereis also limited room for a description of the location such as "Located in the Mall" for example.

6. Category - The category of the book that your business is going to be found under. The ad can be included in multiple categories online, but only one per ad in the books.

7. Offers - One of the largest factors in the effectiveness of your company's ad will be the offer. Make sure they are short, clear to understand, consistent with the wording of the rest of the offers in the book, and have a real value to the customer. This space is limited and may be used for Offer Headings, Offer Descriptions, special stipulations and rules, etc.

We reserve the right to edit offers to make the wording consistent or clear or deny an offer if it appears to have a negative effect on the publication as a whole.
